WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF WIND ENERGY?
Sep 3rd
Question by MaryCheneysAccessory:
What are the pros and cons of wind energy?
There are a lot of wind farms going up in my area. The biggest con that I see from these generators is that they pollute the beauty of our mountain ridges here in Western Pennsylvania. Sure, I am all for energy independence, but I think we rush to solutions in this country. What are your thoughts?

HOW DO YOU CONNECT A SOLAR PANEL AND WIND GENERATOR IN PARALLEL?
Sep 1st
Question by oakwhiz:
How do you connect a solar panel and wind generator in parallel?
I have an ~18v solar panel and a ~15v wind turbine. Sometimes one generates more voltage than the other. How would I get both of them to charge one ~12v battery? I cannot just connect them in parallel with diodes, because in that case, only the higher voltage source gets used. Is there a special charge controller circuit that will do this?

Q&A: HOW TO ADJUST PITCH ON WIND TURBINE BLADES?
Aug 30th
Question by Steven:
How to adjust pitch on wind turbine blades?
I am doing a science fair project in which I will measure the energy output of a wind turbine whose blades are tilted at various angles. How can I change the pitch for each blade equally, and without having to create separate pieces each time I want to change angle measure? Is there a single piece which I can install, then rotate to change the pitch?
