WHAT ARE SOME REAL, EFFECTIVE, AND REASONABLY PRICED ENERGY SAVING SYSTEMS FOR A NEW CONSTRUCTION HOUSE?
Jul 29th
Question by Malibu Ken:
What are some real, effective, and reasonably priced energy saving systems for a new construction house?
Building a new home in a year or so. I would like to make it as green as possible, but it has to look like a conventional home (no big solar panels or windmills) and I will not spend a fortune on fringe technology that has no real-world returns. What is the ideal bang for the buck? Geo thermal HVAC? On demand hot water heaters? LED lighting? Any other ideas that are reasonably priced, and produce a real energy savings? (pay for themselves in five years or so…)

Grid Integration of Wind Energy Conversion Systems
Wind energy is a reliable, natural and renewable electrical power supply. The high installed capacity of today’s wind turbines and decreasing plant costs have shown that wind power can be competitive with conventional, more heavily polluting, fuels in the long term. Focusing on the electrical engineering aspects of wind energy, this absolutely revised edition provides a detailed treatment of electrical and mechanical components and their interdependency, power control and supervision in
