WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO BUY SOLAR PANEL SUPPLIES?
May 7th
Question by Joe P:
Where is the ideal place to purchase solar panel supplies?
I’m looking to build a small home solar charging system, and I’d like to go to a store so that I can get advice on how to build it and what I can anticipate from the size of panel I create. Are there any good stores in the Portland Oregon area? Or a website that is very detailed? I have no prior knowledge about solar charging kits. And what I have found on google assumes you know what you are doing…

SURVEY: IF YOU COULD NOT INSTALL A SOLAR PANEL ON YOUR HOUSE WOULD YOU BUY SHARES IN A SOLAR ENERGY CO-OP?
May 4th
Question by RomeoMike:
Survey: If you could not install a solar panel on your home would you purchase shares in a solar energy co-op?
In a number of communities the home owner associations do not grant solar panels on roofs because they think they blight the neighborhood. Other people live in apartments and cannot have solar panels.
In addition would being able to use government tax credits, be an additional incentive to invest in a solar co-op?

Q&A: WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATUS OF SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATION FOR HOMES?
Apr 29th
Question by jjttkbford:
What is the current status of solar panel installation for homes?
I keep hearing about new great progress in the field – then practical installation is still quite costly and life span of the solar panels is estimated at 10 years – not enough time to really make a difference financially
I’m in Southern California too – prime area
Please cite any sources you have re: new and improved systems that are ready to instal.
thanks – Solar seems like the answer – and I keep hearing we are getting close – just hard to be patient.

IS IT FEASIBLE TO CREATE A SOLAR PANEL THAT COULD HARNESS MORE OF THE SUNS ENERGY THAN WHAT THEY CAN NOW?
Apr 28th
Question by :
is it feasible to create a solar panel that could harness more of the suns energy than what they can now?
right now, you would need a suitable number of solar panels just to power 1 home & that can take up a lot of real estate. so my question is, is it feasible to create something that absorbs more of the suns energy like a magnet it would suck it up. the point of doing this would be so that we wouldnt need so much space & so many panels just to power 1 home for example.
i hope thats coherent.

WHAT’S THE PROS AND CONS OF SOLAR ENERGY VERSUS WIND ENERGY?
Apr 27th
Question by :
What’s the pros and cons of solar energy versus wind energy?
I’m planning on building a business. What would be the advantage of using solar cells or windmills to produce the power, or at least to keep the cost of electrical power down? The facility will be in the midwest and will be opened year round thru four seasons.
