WHAT ARE SOME WAYS A CORPORATION CAN SAVE ENERGY IN ORDER TO COMBAT GLOBAL WARMING?
Jan 14th
Question by Joy H:
What are some ways a corporation can save energy in order to combat Global Warming?
After bringing Global warming concerns to the CEO of the company I work for, I was asked to meet with the head of HR to come up with some ideas on what we can do to become green certified. I am so very excited that I am being included in this process, and I want to make sure I am not missing anything.
What are some ideas we can implement at a corporate level? We have to meet OSHA standards, so that has to be taken into account too.
The company employs over 1000 people, has offices worldwide, and deals with educational software. We already have moved towards being paperless, even though there are some who refuse to keep electronic records and notes.

If I use a light for 5 mins and turn it off leave for 10 mins and come back to turn it on for 5 more, am i using more energy than keeping it on for 20 mins straight? Thanks!
hopefully information on Incandescent, CFL, and Fluorescent lights could be explained to me! thanks!

GOING GREEN: DO YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG YOUR TV IN ORDER TO REALLY SAVE ENERGY?
Oct 9th
Question by southern belle:
Going green: Do you have to unplug your Television in order to really save energy?
I’ve heard that you have to unplug electrical items in order to save energy. Turning them off alone is not good enough if it’s still plugged in, something about it still taking energy – ghost energy or whatever. This is something I am pulling from the back of my mind, so I am not sure if this is true or not. And if it is true, are people really practicing this as part of this Going Green Movement?
