I have electric baseboard heating, and my roommate likes to turn the heat all the way off during the day and at night, but I was always told that you save more if you leave the thermostat at a constant level during the day, or maybe a few degrees lower than you like it, so that when you come home it doesn’t use as much energy to bring the room back up to a liveable temp. 1. picking up garbage around beaches and parks
2. turning of the light when I do not need to use it
3. turning off the water when brushing teeth
4. taking 5 minutes to shower
5. recycling
