Hi there,

I would like to know how to find capital to finance a Scandinavian company within the solar energy sector. We have a product that delivers cheap energy and we would be interested in cooperating with venture firms. Estimated time of market introduction Q2 2012. Please advise on how to find investors and capital.

Kind regards

Question by dt:
Will solar energy for house’s be effective in a place like Kansas City?
I mean how much sun do you need? And, does it work on overcast day’s? And, I figure you probably would not have any energy during the snowy season. Also, do most people that use solar for their house’s only energize certain lower demanding things?

——————————————

Answer by Rebtl
If you are getting direct sunlight, it shouldn’t matter if it is the snowy season or not.

There are ways to build solar panels that only power a couple of things, or other systems that can power your whole house.

I built one panel of my own just to see how well it would work and I am powering a couple of lamps and a Television from it.

Check out the plans I used here

Question by Enrique:
How do you make solar panels?? And is there any other ways to make energy like wind energy at home?
I live in a place where its always hot and i think building a Solar panel will really help out plus help out the environment as well…but plz show me and tell me how to buildit step by step. Also i would like to know if there is any other type of energy things i can build? If so plz tell me and show me.

——————————————

Answer by Ryan
These are some really good green energy links. check them out

Answer by Kim-chi
Heat does not affect how much a solar panel absorbs. It matters on how much sunlight there are during the day. Also, the amount of cloudy days is also a factor. Your home also must be faced towards the south to maximize the about of sunlight you get during the day.
Other ways to be eco-friendly is to install a wind turbine for wind energy. A windy location would be preferred for this. There are many other smaller ways to be eco-friendly like buying a treadmill/bike that runs on the power you generate.

Answer by Danimal
2 more years….. photovoltaic panels will be history like cassette tapes

——————————————

Answer by Bedouin
I’m not sure a country like Pakistan would have the components to make your own solar panels; you might have to look on the net for it with a local search. Otherwise you might be superior off to look at a finished panel which will save you money in the long term. Do not forget you will need a voltage controller so you do not overload the battery.

Answer by indian
you do google search and contact the companies which manufactures solar panel..or contact an expert in this field..

Answer by Farid M
first you have to sibmit a request form to the nearest taliban office: if they approve it they will come along with their AK47s and bazookas and make a panel of your house;)

Kinda like how solar panels harvest energy and use it when there is no sunlight.

——————————————

Answer by Eric
It’s simple, you can’t. That is why certain areas of the world would not be able to make use of this technology.

Answer by Vince
You can blow on the windmill to see if that would help.

Answer by azree
well they are all moron,

actually there a way e can make it spin. Integrate the system or infinite magnet spin and water flows with it. Yet, the methane gas system which burns might give the flow by pointing their exhaust to the windmills.

yes, integrate all these, and we might find the world 1st reusable and immortal energy

——————————————

Answer by Charles
Personally I like the VAWT .. Vertical Axis designs.

I like them because I think they are a more efficient design, and can be easily designed to handle high winds.

Besides some really beautiful variations can be made out of them.

Answer by Rudydoo
Hey Wind, take a good look at Charles answer to your question, it’s worth reading several times. I have to concur that the Helix, or the “Darrieus Rotor” is really neat looking. It is far from an efficient design. This is exactly the thing that got wind and solar into so much trouble in the 70′s, the misinformation that circulated around and was accepted as gospel by everyone. The vertical axis wind turbine is one of the most inefficient wind turbines in the world. This is the reason you do not see any power companies installing them in their costly wind farms, they would never pay for themselves. The typical VAWT runs about 5 – 8% efficiency, a far cry from the typical horizontal 3 bladed model, at around 25 – 30 %. But do not take my word for it, it’s getting your information form hacks like us on the web that defeats the entire point of research in the first place. Get to the non profit websites like AWEA.ORG or MREA.ORG, or superior yet, take a trip to the old fashioned library and check out some books, like Wind Power for Home and Business, by Paul Gipe, or anything written by Mick Sagrillo. Mick Sagrillo has a fantastic discussion on just this subject at the AWEA website by the way, he is considered by people in the business to be the modern day guru on wind power.

Better than all these ideas, get a subscription to Home Power Magazine, look up the event calender in the back, and get to one of the many energy fairs hosted all over the place. We went to one 12 years ago, and actually listened to Mick and other experts talk. This day our home is powered by the wind and sun, and I am the guy that instructs wind and solar power to the children in the local school here, that is where it has gotten us. If I listened to all the on the web pundits here 12 years ago, we never would have tried, and then I would have been just another guy sitting around telling the neighbors that, “Wind power doesn’t work,” because a guy told me that online. Put a tiny elbow grease into it, it will be worth it in the end. Take care, Rudydoo

——————————————

Answer by benjamin.bonnett@yahoo.com
Hi Nour K.
The easiest way to find the information is to go to the links below.
The Build It Solar website has listing and multiple links on wind power home projects.
When you get there, there is a directory at the left side of the page.
Wind power Basics
Four others,
And Sampling of wind power turbine suppliers.

Scroll down the page, there is a link to www.eere.energy.gov ,,,

And a hole lot more there.

http://www.builditsolar.com/Projects/Wind/wind.htm#DIYWind

The Eco-Friendly Power website has five products from 2 kilowatt to 20 kilowatt.
Just click on any one of the photos for more information.

http://www.redriven.net/products.html

For example, this the 5Kw package

http://www.redriven.net/products_5kw.html

Edit , I came back and added more.
It comes with:

•FD6.4-5000 including generator, blades, flange
•5 Kw ReDriven On-Grid Controller
•1 PVI-6000 Inverter
MSRP: $ 14,825.40* USD

These are the specifications for the 5Kw

Rated Power: 5000W

Rated Voltage: 240v 60hz

Start up wind speed: 2 m/s (4.4mph)

Rated Wind speed: 10m/s (22.35)

Blade material: Fiber Glass

5,000 watts at 240 Vac is 20 amps
or 40 amps at 120 volts

Here are videos of the 10Kw unit:

http://www.redriven.net/media.html

Here is a search for [home wind turbine cost]

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=home+wind+turbine+cost&rlz=1R2GGLP_enUS353&aq=4&oq=home+wind+turbine&aqi=g10

From there to here:
What do I need to know to buy a residential wind turbine? Jump to How much does a wind system cost?‎: A small turbine can cost anywhere from $ 6000 to $ 22000 installed, depending upon size, …

http://www.awea.org/faq/rsdntqa.html

This a demonstration video describing how a wing generator works:

http://www.skystreamenergy.com/how-it-works/skystreaminmotion.php

Sorry I can not find how much a professional installation costs, you could contact several manufactures to find out.

Answer by Ned
here are two very helpful links

http://renewableenergyarticles.blogspot.com/2009/12/how-much-electricity-can-wind-turbine.html

hope it helps

Answer by Badquestionman
You should find your ideal card and make photocopies of it and if anyone questions why your doing so well take their deck and throw it in the sauna.

Answer by sanjay_r_c
Well, quite an impressive List you have got there!
There are enough Cards for you to construct a Spellcaster-Warrior Deck.
Just keep in mind:
1. Keep your Deck between 40-45 Cards.

2. Balance the Ratio of Monster-Spell-Trap Cards (for a 40 Card Deck it could be 20-10-10 or 15-15-10 or 15-10-15)

3. Plan on what kind of a Strategy you are going to Play – Attack Deck, Burn, Defense, LP gain, Fusion, etc.

4. No Deck is perfect! Keep experimenting until you find the Deck and Card Combinations with which you are most comfortable playing.

5. Construct your Deck in accordance to the Banned/Restricted List if you wish to play in Tournaments.

6. In case you want to play a Theme Deck, try to obtain the most common Cards (Staple) used in such Decks.

7. Most important (at least for me!) enjoy playing the Game and not just for the sake of Winning.

Happy duelling!

Answer by Liam F
U could go warrior synchro but it will need more cards,

Like the Warrior structure deck thats coming out as well as the old one
