WHAT LED LIGHT BULB SHOULD I GET?

I’ve seen a lot of hype about LED lights, and they seem like a pretty good idea… except that they are darn expensive. The ones with decent brightness is like 40$ a bulb, and 150$ for a florescent tube LED. What brand or kind of LED lights should I get that is decently bright yet still at reasonable costs? I am mainly using it for table lamps, room lighting, and general things around the house.
