WILL DOING THIS SAVE ENERGY ON MY LAPTOP?
Nov 23rd
Question by :
Will doing this save energy on my laptop?
Okay, I am using a sony vaio laptop, running windows vista. The windows vista graphics are obviously a lot more complex than the normal “classic windows” graphics. I changed the settings so that all my application windows and stuff look like they are from windows 2000. Will this save power or make my personal more efficient? Will it do anything, since the graphics from windows 2000 are easier to render?

Question by t_hoyer:
Do I save energy by having my laptop unplugged and working off the battery?
Please give me some stats to prove it makes a difference if I unplug my laptop for an hour or two and work off the battery. Or does it not matter and as soon as I plug it in it pulls more energy to charge it again? Thanks.
