Light is bright and last for more than 5 hours after day charge outside. This is great especially when you need to read a book or work in a remote place/ garden where there is no ambient light. It also helped me to fix the automobile and electronic gadgets during night travel. Very much reliable and portable (Approx 1.0 pound including solar rechargeable battery). Great thing- you can turn off the solar light or reduce the light intensity if you do not want to waste the energy and preserve it for days. Very cool astonishing solar product- very helpful for any situations including emergency. This review is from: Solar Emergency Indoor & Outdoor Lantern Lamp Light (Led) We bought this lamp, in hopes of using it in Haiti as a practical solution to help provide lighting for people in the villages that rely on kerosene lamps. We do not have any long term experience with this lamp as yet, but so far it does charge from the sun light and provide some light. However, our main criticism is that the light projected is very limited. It is not sufficient to light a dark room. It seems that the internal lens that is designed to diffuse the light seems to be distorting it too much and therefore does not do a good job of projecting the light into a dark room. We will continue to evaluate the practicality of this lamp and might have an update in the future. We were very attracted to the price. We encourage further development of this technology as a solution to lighting for individuals in countries such as Haiti that struggle with many basic needs. often wondered..i think a few degrees lower at night is a saver,,but in my home too low and furnace runs all day to bring up to normal maybe myth busters has looked at it.
