If I makes a wind turbine by using a fan motor,do I need any circuit to charge a battery directly from that ?
actually that I am using a motor of a small pedestal fan as a generator for wind turbine, I am confused about getting out put, can i get directly or need any circuit like a full wave rectifier in order to get out put?

I’m designing an LED lamp and need to convert 120v to 12v for my circuit. What is the simplest/safest way?
I know I can use an AC adaptor but I want to create the transformer myself. Most LED designs seem to run off batteries but I want my lamp to plug into the wall/mains. I am new to wiring but have done basic soldering and could handle a design using basic resistors/capacitators/whatever else I might need.
