Question by beachgirl111982:
What are the ideal way to save energy in the winter?
This will be my second winter in this house. I need help I know a lot of people will state keep the temperature at 60 but my home is very old and the pipes run in the walls so I need to keep my temperature at 70 down stairs otherwise I will have a lot of problems. My next problem is my bed room gets so cold. We can turn the thurmostat up to 80 in the bed room that controlls the upstairs heat and my bed room will still be freezing. I had a space heater last year but that did not help much. I have checked everything its all insulated and I covered up all the windows so no air could get through. I do not want to do this winter to be the same as last year. Any recommendations would be great.
