My power bill was through the roof (again)! I changed out the PAR30 bulbs in the recessed lights of my hallway with these ecoBrite bulbs. They are brighter than the 90 watt incandescent bulbs I had in there and they are much more energy efficient.
PROS: Bright spot is brighter than the PAR 30 incandescent. Solid / robust design and feel.
CONS: Narrow beam does not have the same light dispersion as an incandescent bulb. The neck is short, and I had to purchase socket extenders from the local Lowe’s (which cost about $1 each).
If you are looking for a bright replacement bulb, these are the ones. I will probably post a follow up after I change out my hallway can lights to ones that have a silver reflector bezel. If it weren’t for the light dispersion (which really wasn’t a big deal), I’d give this 5 stars.
