get your facts straight
Senator Ted opposed Wind energy last year on Cape Cod !!!!!
Kennedy is a Democrat I think
Which Republican was that?
Many don’t.
We don’t, and the oil company’s don’t either and in fact they sponser both, try checking your fact first. The problem with both is that they are Not an alternative source of fuel from Oil! Gone on back to your kool-aide we’ll call you when you ar needed~!
umm what kind of crap generalization statement is that… I have no problem with solar or wind energy.. but you may want to ask your friend teddy kennedy what he thinks about windmills by where he lives.. look it up.
Can you please give a link to it?
Where Republicans oppose to solar or wind energy.
Yes. Too much alternative fuels means their friends take a pay cut and then the party takes a pay cut.

These sources of energy do not hurt oil companies directly yet but….
Shell was stupid enough to sell its solar business for a low price just before the boom of solar energy while they were at the same time forecasting 1/3 of the worldwide energy supply by solar power in 2050….. just call oil companies stubborn and stupid.

Huh??
What flavor kool-aid are you drinking??

You are lying, where is a link?

no they dont

Oh I oppose all types of energy that doesnt pollute the environment enough to cause global warming.
Absolutely!

People don’t oppose solar or wind energy. They just aren’t slobbering all over it because it’s still more expensive than combustibles (though at this rate, who knows for how much longer – which would be a positive, I think).
The absolutely don’t.
Who do you think own the big Solar companies ?
Arco Solar BP Solar. etc.
I think your comment is BS
You got it. The oil companies fear major disruption in their profiteering, so the pressure the Republicans, who have been long castrated by them, anyway.
They don’t.
We have converted to wind/solar and thanks to the tax credits we got before the Dems took over Congress, we’ve received some great tax rebates.
They don’t openly oppose it so much as quietly block its use behind the scenes.
If people start using these kinds of energy, they will drop off the grid and there will go the mega-monopolies that republicans worship.
The real energy solutions all involve getting rid of the mandatory grid. As long as just one company or agency collects all the money, the GOP is fine with it. If the people start to become independent, that scares the piss out of them.

The state that produces the most power from wind energy is Texas. An oil state. More than liberal California. This program was put in place during then Gov George Bush’s time in office.
Ted Kennedy is fighting building wind turbines off of Cape Cod.
Learn your facts before hurling insults.

they dont oppose it nor do the energy companies so let s get the fact str8 b4 u ask stupid questions
about 4 weeks ago
You are correct in part. One reason is that it would hurt oil companies. Another reason is that these technologies are difficult to monopolize – there is no central, controllable source (unless they invent a giant device to block out the sun) so it would be harder to have a gigantic corporation like Exxon or Chevron dominate the solar or wind energy sectors.
Also, Republicans like to live for the here and now – they tend not to invest in long term things like education that would benefit us in the future- they prefer tax cuts and cheap gas now now now (and running up the debt to prevent future generations from having universal healthcare)

I do remember hearing about how kennedy and others blocked the wind turbines in cape cod cause it would ruin their precious views of Nantucket. that windfarm was going to be about 8 miles from his house. It wasn’t just kennedy though, Romney the governor also blocked it. Rich people stick together when it concerns their own backyards.
This was back in 2006 when prices were skyrocketing and the average price of a gal of gas was reaching $ 3.00

Because no one has found a way to make billions of dollars from wind and sunshine yet, and the idea of regular (non rich) people getting anything for free really upsets them.

Thats funny, I thought the Kennedy family were Democrats:
PAWTUCKET — Rep. Patrick Kennedy said yesterday that a wind farm located in Rhode Island waters between Newport and Block Island would be a bad idea because it would hurt the state’s tourism and fishing industries

This war is about oil. Solar and wind energy are not advocated the American oil lords. Therefore, solar and wind energy are being politically ignored.
You must be kidding,, The only opposition to that has been the Democrats and their liberal environmentalists
about 4 weeks ago
Which republican are you referring to. I actually support solar and wind energy. Is this someone else trying to put words in my mouth that doesn’t even know me? I don’t have an oil company either. Were they supposed to issue me one when I registered republican?
The oil and coal companies fund them. So….while they are not exactly against solar or wind energy. they aren’t going out of their way to help develop it. Same goes for the oil companies. All of them except Exxon Mobil have small little research divisions to explore solar and wind – but they are mostly just tokens they use for publicity to make themselves look good.
yes exactly..
the record profits.. by the oil companys.. profit is the objective here.. not freedom.. not democracy.. nothing matters but profit.. thats what the GOP means.. the NEW WORLD ORDER..
the new world order wants to make the world 1 corporation.. with a few people at the top.. and the rest of us chipped slaves.. chips to monitor and control us.. slaves to slave for them…
as more and more wealth is focused into fewer and fewer hands.. the us constitution becomes a threat to their very plan.. how in a democracy.. can you have 1% of the people with 99% of the wealth.. it just wont work..
so as our middle class collapses.. and more and more wealth is focused to a very very small portion of our country.. the new goal is to dismantle the us consitution.. to get rid of the vote etc.. to do this they need the country to collapse economically.. to involve us in wars.. to actually steal one of our own nukes.. and nuke one of our own cities
*yes that’s why the b52 flew across the usa with live nukes.. so the bush people .. same people who rigged the last 2 elections for bush.. same people who hired osama been laden to blow up the wtc.. the bildenberger people.. are going to nuke a us city.. using a nuke they stole off that b52 flight with live nukes..
how far up does the corruption go? that they can make unschedualed illegal flights involving nuclear weapons.. so they can steal one. Left with 6 nukes arrived with 5.. b ut dont worry.. that 6th one will show up as a bright flash in a usa city.. to renew the war on terror.. and to continue the demise of the us constitution.
problem is.. these “arabs” arent the threat.. it’s the bilderberger NWO guys that have planned this all out. the guys that killed kennedy.. the cia.. and the bushs and the rockefellers and the CFR..

which republican was that? most republicans want solar and wind energy EVEN GWB wants a new resource for energy get ur facts straight

the exact opposite is true, the sierra club continues to shut down the generators in palm springs ca. and on the altamont out side of Francisco. i don’t think any republicans belong to the sierra club
about 4 weeks ago
Ridiculous to suggest such. By the way, hardcore conservations loath windmills since many birds fly into them and are killed. Conservatives think that all avenues of energy should be tapped. We should become energy independent as has Brazil.
They don’t,
I haven’t heard any republican stand up against it – except Teddy Kennedy!
