use flourescent light bulbs. Take colder showers. I always start out with a hot shower but gradually turn it cooler by the end of my shower its usually cold. I live in a hot climate though. Use washer and dryer just once a week. Block the windows in the summer. I move furniture in front of one window that was making the apt warm. Keep thermostat high and turn it off in mild months.

If you have ceiling fans, use them to cool you down while keeping the A/C turned to a higher temp so it doesn’t run all the time.
Also, run your dishwasher only at night…
and if it is cooler at night, open your windows and get some cross-ventilation going on.
