You will have to do a proper site assessment. Minimum wind speed of 12mph is recommended for turbine placement.

Hi,
I tried wind turbine not long ago and was definitely not satisfy at all.
I discover too late that it take a really big setup to supply a good amount of electricity.
Then i tried the MagniWork, it is getting widely popular and people are starting to massively implement these generators, and completely eliminate their power bills. Take a look it does not cost anything to read about it. http://www.magniworkelite.com
I really hope this information will be helpfull to you.
Have a nice day

Wind energy is not continues and hence it is not going to cut your bill drastically. Even the wind farms can built not to feed continuously to the grid but intermittently. For individuals the cost of wind turbine is going to be very expensive compared to the power bill. Good to go for one with the impact on environment but if you ar going for saving dollars then you are going to be disappointed.
