Review by Patrick S. Pope for Cobra LED60 High intensity Cordless Light Bar with Magnetic Mount and 100000 Hour LED Life
Rating:
Needing some additional stocking stuffers this Christmas, I purchased a few of these for family members and decided to test one for myself. In short, this is an excellent LED light to leave in your trunk or have around the house. The light also makes a great high-value gift.
The light is well constructed with two general means of attachment, a hook on top and magnet on the handle. Presumably the hook is to be attached to the of hole or latch on the hood of an engine compartment. Charging is very simple and can be done with either a cigarette lighter plug or an AC wall charger.
Unlike fluorescent or incandescent work lights, the array of LED emitters on this light provides a rectangular beam of light. This can be helpful for some applications, such as illuminating an engine compartment. LED lights by their nature have narrow beams. More, importantly, however, they last 50 times as long as incandescent bulbs or 5 times as long as fluorescent. At the same time, they are much more resistant to shock and vibration, which is a potential issue if such a light is left in car trunk until an emergency arises.
Pros
Bright, directional light that makes a rectangular beam
LED longevity virtually ensure the light source with outlast the light itself
Long battery life (4+ hours)
AC plus 12v (cigar jack) charging
Magnet on back
Cons
Uses NiMh batteries instead of lithium ion
No [additional] directional LED spot light
Could be even brighter

I’ve been using this light a few times a week for 3 months now, and It’s worth every penny…
Plenty of light for any type of work.
The light is directional like a flash light so don’t think of it like a lantern…
My only complaint is the charger says dont leave it plugged in for more than 6 hours, seems like they could make it to where over charging wouldn’t be an issue…
But this is still a great light! and the battery life is more than acceptable…

Nice bright worklight that charges up very quickly.
I was pleasantly suprised by how light this light is and how well the magnet holds it in place.
I plan to purchase a few more of these for gifts.
