you really need to pace yourself in things like this.
im guessing you stepped on the gas a lil too quickly at the beginning, try doing each lap 1-2 minutes, nothing less or more.

pay attention to your split times and try to set benchmarks for your self. IE at 2 laps you need to be at no more than 4:45. Start running a little longer than 1 mile at a slower pace then a little shorter at a faster pace. Interval training really boosts your time.

An 8 minute mile is 2 minutes per 400 meters or 1 minute per 200 meters or 30 seconds per 100 meters or 15 seconds per 50 meters, all things being equal ~ how fast do you run 50 meters? . . . it’s all about pacing yourself . . . get a stopwatch and try to run a 400 in 2 minutes or so ~ don’t go faster than 30 seconds per 100 meters . . . walk/jog for 4-5 minutes and try it again . . . repeat 3-4 times . . . this way, you can slowly build up to a mile and run within yourself without having to walk ~ good luck

dont clinch your hands, just leave them hanging, i kno it doesnt seem like much but it’ll save that much energy.
also dont run on your toes as much, you should actually heel strike. running on your heels reduces speed but save a lot of energy
