Review: This is one of the most amazing flashlights I’ve ever encountered. Powerful would be a ridiculous understatement. In its narrow focus, high setting, I could see inside houses on the opposite side of our lake (1/4 mile), it shines off clouds, it illuminated the top of our 150′ douglass fir so well I could see individual knots while it was raining. White light, perfect clarity, super easy to focus. The low beam and/or wide setting make this perfect for lighting up any situation — it no cops-only kind of flashlight. My boys (6 and 9) found it very easy to hold, use and focus, too. Can’t believe how well it’s built, how lightweight it is (much less than a maglite) and that it runs on three regular D cell batteries. Truly unbelievable, will buy more, will replace my others. Nothing over this price is worth seeing until you’ve tried this.

Review: Claw-Guy, the first reviewer of the P17 wasn’t kidding. This flashlight is fantastic! I used it side by side with a 2 `D’ cell LCD Maglite expecting that I would see a big difference. Big difference doesn’t describe it right, it is amazingly bright and you cannot fairly compare the two. I pointed it at a palm tree over a city block away and it light up light a search light was on it, scary good! It does not feel quite as physically durable as a Maglite and it cost twice as much, but for the amount of light you throw around, it’s worth every penny. I strongly recommend this unit and the small 7736TS as well, I have one in my Car’s glove box for emergencies and it is the best small flashlight I’ve ever used.

Review: Buy this light, buy it right now before they realize what a great flashlight it is! I have been a flashlight nut for oover 40 years, and had never had such a good light.
OMG!! This thing is “da bomb!” I was thinking about getting the X-7 but it seemed a little bulky actually, but this is a direct replacement for my 3-cell mag light. Okay, the first touch is the brightest, seems to almost overdrive the LED. The first click is low, and it is a little low but it is still better than most LED lights I have had. Next click is high and not too far short of the momentary press that makes it the brightest. I am not kidding when I say I tested it by shining it up to a cloud, and saw a beam – so I asked someone else to use it while I went a half mile away… Yep, it lit up part of the cloud! Okay, clear night, and lower clouds, but if this puppy does not do the job, I don’t know what will. (The X-7 must be much too gonzo.) Anyway, it is not quite as sturdy as a maglight but the extra brightness combined with the ease of focus (slides in and out with a finger, but can get a little “slippery” to do that if there is a little moistture, but I’m not complainaing) more than makes up for it. DEFINATELY worth every penny, absolutely no doubt.
I work in security, and amazed several others at thee airport and other posts how this can always delifer. There seems to be no situation it does not light up the target, and very well at that. Much better than a maglight (sorry guyss) even the LED version. I had a 10-cell flashlight that was this good but it was a “wizzard’s staff” it was so long.
Reasonably sturdy, very good focus, brightness and ease of use. Only down side was the fact that it does not fit well in flashlight clips with the flat side pasnels. Look out for that. The plastic lens is recessed and very thick. I have not scratched it yet. I currently use it as a replacement for the spotlight on my interceptor – it is that good!
