CAN A RADIATOR FAN MOTOR BE USED AS A GENERATOR?
can a radiator fan motor be used as a generator because im experimenting with wind power and water power and stuff so i was wondering if it could i have two at home attached to a front of a automobile that i do not need.
and could a starter motor off a automobile be used as well

Motors use electric and Generator make electric with the use of magnets, you would still need a diode thing so you can direct the current correctly, go to windbluepower.com they have lots of really neat stuff you will like and from guys just like us, also go on you tube and look for homemade generators they are so clever ways to make electric. you will like it

Yes, DC [Direct Current} motors and generators are the same thing, IF they have PERMANENT magnets inside.
You can easily test any electric motor for use as a generator by attaching the two test lead probes of a Voltmeter to the two leads of the motor. Then while spinning the blade or motor shaft, observe the voltmeter. IF the voltmeter indicates some voltage, then the motor can be used as a generator if you drive the motor shaft at an adequate speed.

If you have the car, and don’t need it,
use the alternator and voltage regulator from it.
That’s the job they were designed for, and all you’ll need to do
is hook up a belt drive from your wind mill.
