so my porch light right now is a CFL, its enclosed in one of those glass globe things, but it attracts a lot of bugs at night.
if i replace it with an LED light (as those yellow bug spotlights will just be too dim to keep the front of my home lighted properly at night) do the LED ones keep bugs away ?

They make a yellow(Bug) CFL. I have one that is 15W(65W) and it is plenty bright . Bugs are attracted to most all light. They seem to be less attracted to the yellow color. So to answer your question , probably not as LED’s produce white light. If you can get a yellow one, you will attract less bugs.

i think like the other person said they may make specific bug CFL Lights that are bright enough to light the front of your house.
if you can find a person at the lowes who actually knows what they are talking about maybe you can get some help on that end. I have the same prob at my house lots of bugs around the bright white light and am looking into getting something else too.
