I wanted to know if there are any Universities in North America that have programs that teach about solar energy and using it for electricity in a home (mainly installation). —————————————— Answer by Dr. Clandestine:)Many dude, they have a nice supply
WHY CAN’T ENERGY SAVING LIGHT BULBS DIM, WHEN USED ON A DIMMER SWITCH?

Question by Jordan L: Why can’t energy saving light bulbs dim, when used on a dimmer switch? We have recently installed some new light fixtures and did not realize that energy saving light bulbs will not dim, they will only work on maximum power, when the dimmer switch is turned down, they just flicker. Also

Q&A: HOW DOES WIND POWER WORK TO CREATE HOME ELECTRICITY?
about 3 weeks ago - No comments
Question by Leo: How Does Wind Power Work To Create Home Electricity? —————————————— Answer by EJWindmills have 3 blades connected to a rotor and a generator. The blades begin to turn when wind speeds reach 4 meters/second, due to low pressure beneath them. This pulls the blade toward it, activating the rotor, the generator, and

a switch is just a pause in the power,,,, so when it is “tripped” it goes off or on…. and a lighted switch just draws a tiny bit of power to “glow” because it has a compleated circut!!!

The very small amount of power needed to light the lamp does not require a neutral because of capacitive reactance of the cable in the light fixture. For a more thorough understanding of how and why this works, take up a course on electrical energy, both AC and DC. THis will give you a better understanding of how and why the neon lamp in the lighted switch can operate with no neutral in the circuit.
For a switch that lights when off, a small neon bulb and voltage dropping resistor (the neon needs around 90 volts and a milliamp or less) are wired in parallel with the switch.
When the switch is off, a small current passes through the neon and the circuit is completed by the light bulb.
When the switch is on, full voltage is delivered to the light bulb, and there is no voltage to drive the neon.
This kind of system works fine with normal bulbs, but the small trickle of power can produce undesired results with compact fluorescent bulbs, with some models producing large amounts of radio interference, far more than when actually operating.
Some models do appear to use LED illumination, and some compatibility issues with CFL are noted, with the possibility of either or both the CFL and switch illumination flickering, which suitable start and suppression components would prevent.
